The best of Design Indaba Conference 2016
This year's Design Indaba Conference brought audiences stories of creative courage, collaboration, public participation and design with a higher purpose. You can have a look at our daily round-ups to get an idea for what was happening on stage: from Wednesday when we sampled pidgin opera and a surprise visit form Hugh Masekela, as well as Turner Prize winners Assemble and creative hybrid Erik Kessels; Thursday – when design matriach Margaret Calvert reminded us of the importance of play and Benjamin Hubert, founder of Layer, gave us an inside view on what it takes to run a successful design studio; and finally our Friday finale at Conference with Imogen Heap and her tech-infused songs. We've also put together a collection of articles that feature our wonderful speakers. Enjoy!
