INTERACT / Design Indaba 2003

26 February 2003 - 28 February 2003

The sixth Design Indaba in 2003 was heralded by the press as the event’s “coming-of-age”. A solid core of delegates and speakers were returning year after year and the Design Indaba’s reputation had gone beyond media presence, slipping into South Africa’s consciousness. Word on the street was unanimous: the event had fulfilled its dream of plotting South African design on the international circuit.

Continuing to push the borders, this edition also boasted the broadest variety of disciplines yet. Fashion, products, furniture, books, photography, new media, cartoons, interior design (cars, homes, restaurants, shops, hotels), logos, posters and campaigns were all represented.
