Mobile product and service innovators, Jawbone have just released the world’s first motion-controlled bluetooth headset with HD audio, in collaboration with Yves Béhar of fuseproject.
The Jawbone Era comes with a built-in accelerometer MotionX™ technology, a multi-processor, HD audio and a connected app platform to enable a unique hands-free experience. In addition to delivering the highest quality HD audio, Jawbone Era also allows the user to experience intelligence through motion technology.
Taking wearable devices to a new level, Jawbone Era offers rich life-like sound quality and hi-definition sound when talking on the phone, listening to music, watching movies or playing games. Noise-canceling expertise in the form of Jawbone NoiseAssasin 3.0 is incorporated into the headset and works by detecting surrounding noise and adjusting accordingly.
The Jawbone Era is also able to detect natural movements when the user interacts with the headset. Simply “Shake Shake” the Jawbone Era into pairing mode or “Tap Tap” it to answer or end a phone call.
A computer built into the Era comes complete with multi-processor architecture and serial flash, thus paving the way for future innovative applications. The Caller ID app, for example, identities callers by name in a “friendly, non-robotic voice”. Jawbone Thoughts, again, is an iPhone app for the headset that allows the user to send voice messages without talking or typing.
Jawbone Era is available in four designs: Shadowbox, Smokescreen, Midnight and Silver Lining.
