Routio

A practical tool for ADHD support

Routio is a thoughtful design response to the everyday challenges faced by children with ADHD. Developed by designer Tingyu Tian, this hybrid tool integrates tactile and digital elements to help children manage time, stay organised, and gain confidence—while also offering caregivers deeper insight into behavioural patterns and support needs.

Routio transforms routine tasks into playful, reward-driven interactions. Children use magnetic boards and physical task blocks to visualise and track responsibilities, while a companion app provides real-time feedback and gamified incentives, such as building a virtual city with every task completed. Routio also offers expert guidance and educational resources to help families and educators better understand ADHD, reduce stigma, and create more inclusive environments.

Designed as a holistic ecosystem, Routio supports children, parents, teachers, and clinicians alike. It not only improves diagnosis accuracy through data tracking but also fosters empathy and collaboration across home and school settings.

By empowering children to take control of their routines—and equipping adults with tools to better understand and support them—Routio aims to reimagine ADHD care as an holistic system that fosters empathy, structure, and a more inclusive future for neurodiverse communities.
