Ferran Adrià

Ferran Adrià is the famed head chef of the elBulli restaurant in Spain. elBulli has three Michelin stars and has been ranked first in the S Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants for the past three years.
Adrià began his career as a dishwasher, served as a member of his military’s kitchen personnel and started as an apprentice at elBulli in 1983, when he was 22 years old. Eighteen months later he became the head chef and has since perfected his deconstructivist approach into a 30-course gastronomical experience.
elBulli is open from April to October. Adrià spends the remaining six months of the year mastering recipes in his workshop. He is also the author of several cookbooks.
