Projekt is a skills training initiative based in Hout Bay, Cape Town. Projekt members live in the Imizamo Yethu informal settlement and come from different parts of Southern Africa, bringing their own traditions to their work and style. Members mostly work with fine cotton and a very fine hook, creating scarves, jewellery and decorative items to meet the changing needs of the international market. Projekt is delighted to be collaborating with Heartworks to form Curious Room – a fresh initiative, where they can experiment with new materials and processes

Production Capacity:
Approximately 2 000 brooches and 160-200 scarves in an eight-week period. Other products vary, depending on size.
