A wearable for sleep, focus and meditation

The ELF emmit headband and accompanying smartphone app were created to give users some control over their mood as they deal with the stresses of daily life. Using extra-low frequency electromagnetic pulses at specific frequencies, the device helps users attain a desired state of mind, at any given moment.

“Until now, similar technological devices were big, heavy, expensive and not convenient for daily use,” says the company’s crowdfunding page. “We’ve adapted this technology to make a product that is wearable daily and affordable to everybody.”

According to the science, our moods – whether we’re relaxed, focused, stressed, tired, or distracted – are directly tied to the electrical activity in our brains. While we’re trying to complete tasks, our minds and bodies are at odds. For instance, trying to write in a busy office space puts stress on the brain. We then lack the focus to complete the task at hand.

The Elf emmit emits pulses from 2 Hz up to 19 Hz—nothing beyond the natural rhythm of the mind. These pulses target the cerebellum, gently coaxing your current brainwave frequency to speed up or slow down and match your desired mood, chosen using the accompanying app.
