Martí Guixé: Food as an object of mass production

Martí Guixé tells Design Indaba how much of his creative work is concerned with looking at food as an object of mass production.

From a hands-free lollipop to a cake that displays its ingredients in pie-chart form, Martí Guixé’s work challenges perceptions of reality and calls into question the status quo. The Catalonian designer works with food as an object of mass production, often creating interactive experiences. Working across food, platform and system design, Guixé’s work is often playful and engages with crowds – like the parties he hosts to elicit help from partygoers in decorating retail interiors!
