Andy Chen is a graphic designer and ethnographer who advocates for marginalised populations.

A student at the Rhode Island School of Design, Andy Chen is a graphic designer and ethnographer who advocates for marginalised populations.

Chen earned his undergraduate degree in sociology from Princeton University in 2009, where he founded the university's first graphic design initiative, the Student Design Agency.

Subsequently, as a Fulbright Scholar at the Royal College of Art’s Helen Hamlyn Centre, Chen partnered with Age UK to create design solutions that addressed social stigma around ageing and sexuality.

Chen has worked with Paula Scher and Neville Brody and writes for Design Observer and Open Manifesto.
