• The Refusal of Time

William Kentridge’s "The Refusal of Time" installation, a collaboration with Philip Miller, Catherine Meyburgh and Peter Galison, will be exhibited in Cape Town from 20 February to 21 June 2015.

Iziko South African National Gallery in association with the Goodman Gallery will host William Kentridge’s The Refusal of Time – a collaboration with Philip Miller, Catherine Meyburgh and Peter Galison.

The Refusal of Time is an installation of five synchronized video projections, four megaphones around the room emitting different soundscapes as well as a large breathing machine, or elephant, at the centre of the room.

The sequence runs in a 28-minute cycle and visitors to the exhibition can wander through this immersive installation.
