Re-Scripting Architecture at AZA 2012

"Re-Scripting Architecture" was the theme of the second Architecture ZA Biennial Festival, which was held in Cape Town in September 2012.

In September 2012 Cape Town played host to the second Architecture ZA Biennial Festival. Foremost architects and urban planners from South Africa and abroad congregated in the Mother City to discuss the theme: "Re-Scripting Architecture". Alongside the main conference, there were also debates, master classes, city tours, exhibitions and a film festival.

Speakers at AZA 2012 included David Adjaye, Andrew Makin, Mokena Makeka, Heinrich Wolff and Handspring Puppet Company.

Design Indaba attended the event to get interviews with some of the leading designers.
