In celebration of Sir Terence Conran’s 80th birthday, the Design Museum in London presents a major exhibition of his work.

The Way We Live Now is an exploration of Conran’s unique impact on contemporary life and lifestyle in Britain.

Conran’s own design work, coupled with his entrepreneurial flair contributed significantly to the look of the British home.

The exhibition, which runs until 4 March 2012, traces Conran’s career “from postwar austerity through to the new sensibility of the Festival of Britain in the 1950s”. It looks to his feel for the avant-garde and the pop culture of the 1960s, to the design boom of the 1980s on to the present day.
