Since they began publishing in 1997, David Krut Publishing (DKP) has been promoting South African art and culture through their high-quality publications. Focusing on contemporary art and architecture, DKP aim to bring awareness to the wealth of local talent in SA that mostly goes unnoticed.
It only seems inevitable then that DKP were selected by FIFA to exclusively represent the FIFA 2010 Official Art Posters Edition series in South Africa, distributed by brands united. Six local and 11 international artists were carefully selected by the FIFA Art Committee to creatively represent soccer. These posters have been produced in limited-editions to become collectables for soccer and art fans.
DKP will be displaying and selling these limited-edition posters at the Design Indaba Expo 2010, exposing visitors to both well-known artists such as William Kentridge, Kendell Geers and Marlene Dumas, as well as young and emerging artists from diverse nations such as Brazil, Sudan and China.
Along with the FIFA 2010 Official Art Posters, DKP will also be displaying a range of their published books. Their most recent releases, Handspring Puppet Company and William Kentridge Nose, will also be available.
