Barbara Wildenboer is a contemporary artist who, for this fashion spread, created paper sculptures and temporary jewellery out of old map books found in second-hand bookshops. The constructions are suggestive of the sun rays and serve as a reference to global warming. Wildenboer also produces work on commission.

Frank Böhm is a Cape Town-based architect whose sculptural designs effortlessly integrate solid timber beams with glass and various metals. Lara Klawikowski is a Cape-based fashion designer, who graduated from Cape Town College of Fashion Design in 2009. Stephanie van Vuuren is a 3D illustrator best known for her hand-sewn family of Nanimals made from scraps of material and raggedy matter collected through friends and expeditions to old people’s smelly cupboards and garages. Nanimals are small recycled versions of the famous Big Five.
