Chef and restaurateur extraordinaire Reuben Riffel recently got together with Ngwenya Glass to create a 16-piece range of glassware products.
The pieces were created with the guidance of Source and will be available at Boardmans stores across South African from the end of November 2010.
Riffel was inspired by the skill, integrity, tradition and authenticity of the Ngwenya Glass philosophy and decided to visit the studio in Swaziland. The collaboration involved a hands-on approach to create something unique and with good branding potential.
Not only is the range beautiful, it’s also highly functional and suited to purpose. Boardmans has pledged to donate 5% of the proceeds from sales of the Reuben Ngwenya range to the Peninsula School Feeding Association.
