Racing for coffee

Paolo Mastrogiuseppe combines his love for coffee and motoring to create a one-of-a-kind coffee machine.

Part of the Project

A passion for espresso coffee and exotic motoring comes together in Paolo Mastrogiuseppe’s Vespresso coffee machine.

Espresso Veloce Serie Carbonio Nero V12 is a Grand Prix inspired espresso machine. It is a half-scale tribute to the powerplants used at the top level of motor racing in the early 1990s. Conceived and hand built in South Africa by Mastrogiuseppe, the masterpiece is fashioned from magnesium, titanium, aerospace aluminium and authentic, thermoset carbon fibre.

The series of coffee machines are strictly limited to just 380 individually numbered units.

The Vespresso was on display at Design Indaba Expo’s Africa is Now exhibition under the theme “Africa is Sharp”, which aimed to show off the bright colours and rich patterns that are seen throughout the continent.
