Olympic stamps

In celebration of the London 2012 Olympics Hat-trick has designed a bespoke set of stamps, depicting the Games, for the Royal Mail.

The stamps are being officially released today, Friday 27 July 2012, to mark the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

From the Hat-trick studio, Gareth Howat says: “The stamps feature iconic London landmarks blended with Olympic sports to celebrate both the sport and the landmarks of London.”

London Mayor Boris Johnson also has much praise for the work:  “Even fleet-footed Hermes himself would hang up his winged sandals and send his letters through Royal Mail if he saw the quality of these beautiful Olympics-themed stamps.”
