No more burnt toast with this see-through toaster

Designer James Stumpf has come up with a see-through toaster so users can see how brown their toast is getting.

This invention could mark the end of burnt toast in the mornings. Industrial designer James Stumpf has come up with a toaster that is made of bamboo and glass and allows the user to watch the slice of bread as it browns.

The toaster has a modern aesthetic – it is made of steam-bent bamboo and modern glass – and is created to be eco-friendly: there is no plastic in the design.

The heat elements of the toaster are quick cooling, so that you don’t burn your fingers when the toast is ready and moves this appliance on from the traditional pop-up mechanism of toasters-past.

The heat settings are controlled on a touchscreen panel.
