Julia Lohmann’s work explores the threshold between animal and animal material, probing society’s attitude towards animals and how we use them to sustain us. Works such as Flock (made of sheep stomachs) and Ruminant Bloom (made from preserved cow stomachs), aim to reconnect objects made of animal materials with their animal origins and find new uses for animal materials that are deemed worthless.
