“Bird in hand” might be worth two in the bush but hanging from the ceiling it becomes both a lamp and an interesting interior focal point.
Created by Dutch designer J.P. Meulendijks of Plankton, Bird in Hand is a lamp design based on the universal art of hand shadows. This art involves casting hand shadows against walls to create animals like birds and rabbits. Bird in Hand positions many hands to create what looks like a flock of birds flying in circles.
The design uses durable, compstable material composed of natural hemp fibres, minerals and binder.
