Comprising 15 solar panelled sunflowers, the Electric Garden in Austin, Texas, is literally what its name says. Designed by Mags Harries and Lajos Héder, the sunflowers shield a pedestrian and bicycle path, providing shade during the day and safety lights at night. Additional solar energy collected is fed into the city’s electrical grid.
