This Exquisite Forest is a collaborative art project allowing users to partake in a collection of evolving stories by building animations of each other.
Conceived by Chris Milk and Aaron Koblin and produced by Google and the Tate Modern, This Exquisite Forest allows users to participate in a collaborative art creation project.
Users create short animations that build off one another as they explore a specific theme.
Through this exploration and participation, which is open to everybody, a collection of branching narratives are created resembling trees.
The project also includes a physical installation at the Tate Modern in London for a period of six months. Museum-goers get to explore the project in life-size form, as well as contribute to it using high-end digital tablets.
This Exquisite Forest showcases the extraordinary power of Google Chrome.
