Colourful storage

Matali Crasset designs a do-it-yourself, contemporary storage unit for IKEA.

Inspired by simple and pure design, Matali Crasset has designed a storage unite from renowned furniture brand IKEA.

French designer Crasset’s universal storage unit draws on the concepts of what is hidden and what can be seen.

The closet or storage unit can be used bare or may be partially covered with squares and rectangles of various sizes. These shapes are available in a variety of colours to give users the opportunity to design their own unique storage unit that fits in with their existing home décor.

It’s a furniture piece that overcomes codes and can find its place everywhere and can camouflage to fit all types of interiors, says Crasset.

Three designs are available. These include:

Equalizer: a very graphic pattern inspired by icons of music that add a dynamic aesthetic to any living environment.

Wood: a forest scene that evokes a peaceful landscape in any home.

Character: a cartoon character or superhero fantasy that evokes the notion of protection.

The storage units are exclusively available at IKEA
