Elium Studio’s recharge terminals for electric vehicles respond to urban and domestic needs.

Schneider Electric’s recharge terminal for electric vehicles was recently unveiled at the 2010 St Etienne Biennale.

Designed by Elium Studio, this recharge terminal is among the first proposal addressing the urban and domestic needs of electric vehicles.

Size was a key design concern for Elium Studio as well as highlighting the values that the recharge terminal represents, including simplicity, comfort and eco-consciousness and creating “an ecosystem which is smart, safe and green”.

With a charging time of between eight and 10 hours, this recharge terminal is ideally suited to domestic use where the car can be charged overnight. The terminal also works by lighting up LED pulses while charging. The user interface is simple to use and intuitive, and progressively indicated the charging time.
