Greetings enthusiasts, zealots, activists and the intellectually curious,

Welcome to Design Indaba 14.

It’s been a long journey since our humble beginnings in 1995. A journey that has been emblematic of our relentless passion to advance the cause of creativity.
 
We have stuck to our task, morphing and developing beyond an event, to become an institution for the promotion of creativity, design and innovation in Africa.
 
We've been inspired by the cast of thought leaders that gather in Cape Town for the Design Indaba Conference; the fabulous African creative garde that exhibit at the Design Indaba Expo; the savvy sponsors who realise that innovation transforms lives and economies; the media partners who tell stories and share insights about the potency of design; and most importantly, the audience. The people who declare Design Indaba to be their creative birthday, the ones who renew and refresh their view of the creative universe here, annually.
