A selection of the finest food trucks parked off on the Design Indaba Expo 2013 floor creating the largest food truck gathering Cape Town has ever seen, alongside a designer bar and an energy pit stop.
Going for a food concept based on pop-up restaurants and mobile food truck trends, food and drink at this year’s Design Indaba Expo was appetising, hip and trendy.
Popular Mexican restaurant El Burro launched its food truck at the Expo, along with other newcomers The Juice Deli and The Good Life. They were joined by popular pioneers of the local food truck scene, Limoncello and Durban’s Finest Curry, and pop-up stalls from Beijing Opera, The Creamery, Ma Mere Maison and Queen of Tarts. Distell served up delicious cocktails at its Fine Brandy.By Design bar, PowerPlay provided a boost with energy drink shots and Woolworths brewed Fair Trade coffee.
