Made by Hand: The Beekeeper

#FilmFestFridays presents "Made by Hand: The Beekeeper": a short film offering a glimpse into the life of Brooklyn-based beekeeper Megan Paska.

Brooklyn-based backyard farmer, rooftop beekeeper, honey producer and writer, Megan Paska has found her sense of purpose in bees. "They keep me connected to the world”, she says.

Having been a beekeeper for quite some time, Paska has witnessed beekeeping as it has morphed from an illegal (and possibly crazy) habit to a sustainable, community-supported skill.

In this short film, she highlights that her day-to-day life is more than just a way of living: “This is the first time in my life where I’ve just felt absolutely on the right path”, she says.

A project from bureauofcommongoods.com, Made by Hand is a new short film series celebrating the people who make things by hand—sustainably, locally and with a love for their craft.
