The Cub

#FilmFestFridays presents "The Cub", a short film about a five-year-old girl who is handed over by her parents to be fostered by a pack of wolves.

Four actors, one location, a few shots of nature and a $50 budget. #FilmFestFridays presents The Cub.

Written and directed by Riley Stearn, the short film forms part of the official selection for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

The Cub is the story of a five-year-old girl who is turned over by her middle-class parents to a pack of wolves to learn “strength, self-resilience and cunning behaviour”. She is told to return to the same spot in ten years time to be reintegrated into human society.

A lot of the action occurs off-screen, with the presence of the wolves indicated by howls and growls.
