In this Pecha Kucha-style presentation Sonja Bäumel asks what would happen if we combine the living micro-cosmos on our skin with a textile? Her (In)visible Membrane project considers using the knowledge of skin bacteria to grow and morph the structure on the skin. Bäumel also looks at clothing as the artificial second skin and does various experiments with bacteria and textiles.
