Part bar, part mobile art installation, Design Indabar presented by Grolsch comprises two renovated shipping containers that allow creativity to go on tour. A Design Indabar evening at the National Gallery saw guests enjoying Grolsch, Nandos and Pecha Kecha presentations by leading local creatives including Jonathan Shapiro aka Zapiro, Roger Ballen, Kyla-Rose Smith, Tsai, Mr Fuzzy Slipperz, Laduma Ngxokolo and more.

Laduma Ngxokolo

Born in Port Elizabeth in 1986, Laduma Ngxokolo had his first hands-on experience of textile designing in 2003 when he studied at Lawson Brown High School.

Jonathan Shapiro

Born in Cape Town in 1958, political cartoonist and satirist Jonathan Shapiro was detained by security police in 1988, shortly before leaving on a Fulbright Scholarship to study media arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
