With a wish to bring the joy of her craft to people all over the world, Cape Town-based illustrator Lauren Fowler has launched an online shop. The shop can be found at lostisaplacetoo.com

From art-prints to gift cards and cross-stitch kits, Fowler's creations are about that something a little different.

I started the online shop to make my products more readily available to locals and international markets, says Fowler.

Fowler’s unique, sometimes off-beat gift cards are the result of a personal need to see a better collection of stationery in the market place. The illustrator was keen to see something a little more fun and less mass produced. All her cards are printed on recycled paper and are blank for individual personal messages.

Also availble in the online shop are Fowler's cross-stitch kits, an all-in-one kit with the materials needed to make a small cross-stictch creation. In today's fast-paced world cross-stiching is a relaxing activity that calls for patience and stillness while still keeping your hands busy, something Fowler calls "productive meditation".

Fowler's work can currently be seen at the Shoestring Collective Pop-up Shop in Cape Town.
