Design Indaba Expo 2010 welcomes its youngest visitors to explore the exciting and zestful world of design.

Every year visitors to the Design Indaba Expo bring their young ones hoping to open their eyes to a growing creative industry. So Design Indaba has decided that 2010 is for the kids.

Taking place from the 26 to 28 February 2010, the Design Indaba Expo has scheduled a number of creative workshops and activities for parents and children to take part in. “We believe that young people should be building on a foundation of understanding about the creative industry – the significance and relevance of design in the world as well as the joy of creating in everyday life”, says Caryn van Rooyen, Design Indaba Expo project manager.

But this is not just all play and no work. Kids and their parents will need to think out the box as they are challenged to make the most of their creativity.

Each activity will work to build confidence in both children and parents as they are inspired to think of their own ideas to be unique and innovative in their creations. This is a chance for kids, students and parents to unleash creative potential, soak up information communicated in their own language and be stimulated by abundant activities at Design Indaba 2010.

Each day of the Design Indaba has something new and exciting for kids and their parents to explore together. All these workshops are to be pre-booked while spaces last. We encourage parents to accompany their children throughout the workshop experience.
