Designer and Google creative director, Ji Lee’s illustration for Portfolio magazine sums up the economic times.

Designer and Google creative director, Ji Lee’s illustration for Portfolio magazine just sums it all up. Commissioned to illustrate Michael Lewis’s feature story about the end of Wall Street, Lee says he started out thinking about the most iconic images of Wall Street – the street sign, stock market, etc – but then recalled the famous bronze bull that is the ultimate symbol of confidence, male virility and power. Once he had the idea, the primary challenge was to create a photorealistic dead bull, for which he found a picture of a dead cow and commissioned a Maya artist that he found on Craigslist.
