Since their first album release in 2006, the cool kids of Mtkidu have risen from the basement of Horror Café to become celebrated by electro partygoers nationwide and stars of Design Indaba’s SOUTH documentary. Some three years later, Mtkidu have (finally) released their second limited-edition album, Shaka Won, which shows how their distinctly homegrown interpretation of warping asynchronous beats has matured and percolated. With most of the material freely available on their website anyway, Mtkidu celebrate the album as treasured object by adding exclusive multimedia material including the complete Shaka Won comic, wallpapers, sketches, and a link to download the first album and its Kleinbaas comic.
