Doreen Southwood lives and works in Cape Town and has a degree in fine art from the University of Stellenbosch. Southwood is the owner and founder of the retail outlet MeMeMe in Cape Town, one of the forerunners in making South African clothing design available to the public. At the heart of clothing designed by Southwood lies a highly individual style. Of great interest to this designer is contemporary interpretation of classic and timeless clothing. The mood of her designs always embodies the feminine and the nostalgic. She continues to show at both Cape Town fashion week as well as Audi JHB fashion week and supplies stores in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Portugal. Her client base stretches over Europe and the USA.
