We have just over 300 Exhibitors signed up for Design Indaba Expo 2013, 110 of which are first time Exhibitors, so if you haven’t registered as a Buyer yet, this is a reminder that now is the time. Register online here.
We’re putting the finishing touches to what promises to be a spectacular show with many new features and faces.
Here is a taste of what you can expect to see at this year’s event:
Feature exhibit curated by Li Edelkoort
Totemism: Memphis Meets Africa, a Design Indaba project curated by Li Edelkoort and sponsored by Woolworths, is an exhibition of South African design seen through the lens of Edelkoort’s latest trend forecast. Her concept is based on the trend of stacking and layering colours, patterns and materials to achieve a bold totemic quality reminiscent of the Memphis Design movement of the 1980s.
