Versatile, comfortable, adaptable and stylish are some of the terms that can be used to describe Piet Hein Eek’s folding bench concept for Verkadefabriek.
Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek was commissioned by Verkadefabriek in the Netherlands, a cultural centre dedicated to performing arts, theatre and film to develop a bench system for visitors to relax and interact with one another.
Situated between the restaurant and café, the lengthy bench has double seating to optimise the space usage and allow plenty of seating space for visitors.
The bench can be set up as quickly as it can be removed through extending it or simply rolling it up.
