The best known horror films are the ones that touch on the fears we have as children. The fears that we carry with us well into adulthood. Photographer Stavros Stamatiou wandered back into his childhood nightmares to create a telling photo series called A Raven’s Dream
Using his camera as a shield, Stamatiou explored Crete and Peraia, a suburb of Thessaloniki, Greece, where he lives, under the cover of darkness. There, he brought his boyish nightmares to life.
