Nesting

Ninho—a nesting pavilion

At CASACOR São Paulo 2025, Brazilian architect Marko Brajović presents Ninho—a striking, nest-like pavilion that invites visitors to reconnect with nature and themselves. The nest-shaped structure is inspired by biomimicry, echoing the ingenious nesting behaviours of birds and insects. The design replicates the intelligence of natural systems and the instinctual architecture of birds, blurring the line between built form and organic design.

Crafted to evoke safety and serenity, the structure supports an itinerary of talks, guided journeys and a reflective, mindful experience. Visitors are invited to recline on soft, biomorphic sofas, gaze skyward and engage with the ambient sounds of the park—creating a meditative space for reflection and reconnection. The experience channels the protective simplicity of a bird’s nest, transformed into a meditative refuge for city dwellers.

Brajović’s installation also serves as a launchpad for conversations, forming part of the “Expedition Point Ninho” programme. The programming hosts talks that explore themes like bio-urbanism, ecological design, and the role of architecture in healing our relationship with the natural world.

In a show themed “Semear Sonhos” (Sowing Dreams), Ninho offers a poetic vision of future cities—where architecture listens to nature, embraces its forms, and makes space for rest, reverence, and reconnection.
