The sleek and rather sexy HMK 561 bike is not only ultra-light, it also gets a nod of approval from the greenies with its zero-emission status.
And its not a bicycle but a high-tech motorbike. Developed by Ralf Kittmann, the HMK 561 earned this German designer an iF Design Award.
The edgy HMK 561 bike design doesn’t have pedals. The frame comprises lightweight carbon fibre with the suspension and bearings worked into it, while the driving system is located between the wheels. The carbon fibre is also a conduit for the electric motors in the front and rear, which transmit energy gained to the rim when braking.
