"Plastic is recyclable, so why don't we recycle face masks, which are made of plastic?" asked Kim Ha-neul in an interview with The Straits Times.
South Korean design student Kim Ha-neul has turned this newly available source of polypropylene into upcycled furniture pieces like stools.
He reuses approximately 1500 masks to make one new seat.
