Ever felt that food is so good that you want to sing and dance to it? The Recipe Project contains a collection of "song-recipes". Yes, really.

Food and music generally make for a pleasant combination. And The Recipe Project: A Delectable Extravaganza of Food and Music takes it to a whole new level.

Black Balloon publishers have come up with this musical feast that sees yummy recipes turned into songs that you can sing and dance along to. It’s a little nerdy but it promises to be loads of fun.

Black Balloon asks the very pertinent question: “If chefs are the new rockstars, why not celebrate them as exactly that?” So The Recipe Project includes a selection of gorgeously illustrated recipes from some of the world’s most influential chefs, think Mario Batali, David Change, Andrea Reusing etc, together with chef interviews and essays by well-known food writers.

The band One Ring Zero are responsible for the “song-recipes” that are each customised to the reflect the musical sensibility of the chef and the dish. Take a look at this video to get an idea of what it’s all about.

The book also comes with a free iPhone app that allows you to enter five ingredients and then gives you an idea for something quick, delicious and singable to cook using those ingredients.
