Imperial graffiti

London streets and pavements become the canvas for Cape Town-based street artist Faith47 latest two works.

Faith47 brings an aura of Africa to the city streets of London.

Cape Town-based street artist Faith47’s work is renowned for merging intimately fragile and most subtle gestures with raw and violent darkness. Her graffiti-style images live on broken down cars and old factories, down dusty roads in lost towns, inner-city alleyways and highways, large buildings and small shacks.

The Solar Logos and Hunger together make up her latest work in London: The Imperial Sun and Moon.

Hunger is a striking image of a lion painted onto an alleyway wall, while a pavement becomes the canvas for The Solar Logos, two triangles arranged to form a star.

In February Faith47 created a large-scale work in the heart of Cape Town, as an interactive crowd-funding project #Anotherlightup. Find out more here.
