A good-humoured exploration of money, consumerism and greed outlines Salon91’s current Heart of Gold exhibition.
Cape Town-based illustrator, designer and artist Daniel Ting Chong has once again collaborated with graphic designer and artist Jordan Metcalf to create an exhilarating exhibition in the heart of Cape Town.
Heart of Gold combines the designers’ award-winning talents to highlight the local stance on creativity in the economic sector. The exhibition focuses on re-contextualising consumer-based iconography and lexicon as art.
Using diverse mediums such as glass, paper, wood and ceramic for a variety of creations, the designers reveal their broad skillsets and personal takes on financial symbols.
Heart of Gold is on display at Salon91 until 20 April 2013.
