Matali Crasset’s Curiosity Cabinet is the main installation at A Mysterious Cruise exhibition that is currently on show at the Galerie Sophie Scheidecker in Paris.

The exhibition explores the dialogue resulting from the competition between independent artists and designers, and their curiosity about one another.

Crasset’s Curiosity Cabinet takes its cue from a boat and is also titled “Le Bateau”, the French term for boat. Crasset presents editions from the Silverbridge collection, using the boat as an object that carries and transports our bodies to new and exciting foreign places.

The exhibition also features the work of Abel Auer, Anne Lefebvre and Veronique Bourgoin, among others.
