COMMON Pitch invites ideas for social change. And any ideas are welcome. In fact: “We don’t care whether your idea is built on binary, a rooftop garden in New York or on the back of a camel bearing temperature-sensitive meds to an African village”, says COMMON, a creative community for rapidly prototyping social ventures.
For the August edition of COMMON Pitch everybody from designers to business executives to entrepreneurs and tech geeks are invited to submit ideas on how to solve a social problem, from the world-changing to the every day.
The important thing is that the idea supports the progression of a culture, lifestyle and/or the planet in a way that is ecologically and socially sound. The idea should also somehow support the greater good of humanity and take resources and sustainability into significant and mindful consideration.
Applicants with the most feasible ideas will be invited to pitch their ideas to a live and virtual crowd of peers, industry leaders and venture capitalists in Colorado. The winners will be determined by vote and have the chance of receiving funding to bring their ideas to life.
See the COMMON website for more details.
