The Bouroullec Brothers’s latest collection of rugs interestingly blends rusticity and fineness.

Losanges is a new rug collection by the Bouroullec Brothers that can be viewed at Maison et Objet in Paris from 21 to 25 January 2011.

Created for Spanish brand Nanimarquina, this collection takes its cue from traditional Persian rugs and the “kilim savoir-fair”, which indicate the intimate combination of the rustic and the delicate.

Crafters in Northern Pakistan created the Losanges project by weaving together thirteen colours into a geometrical rhombus shape. Crafted by hand, the Afghan wool used in Losanges is hand spun allowing it to emphasise selected colour tones.
