12 standout buildings from the 2015 World Architecture Festival Award finalists

700 entries from architects and designers across the world were narrowed down to make the World Architecture Festival shortlist.

The WAF 2015 shortlist includes entries from 47 countries, with buildings by major international firms including Zaha Hadid Architects, Heatherwick Studio, Foster + Partners, OMA and BIG.

WAF will run concurrently with Inside World Festival of Interiors at Singapore's Suntec Centre from 4 to 6 November and the winners will be announced following live presentations and judging. One project from the list of finalists will be selected by a super jury to become World Building of the Year.

Previous World Building Award winners at WAF include Vietnamese practice a21's The Chapel in Ho Chi Minh and the MAXXI arts centre in Rome by Zaha Hadid.

All the projects selected are, of course, notable. Here are a few that we’ve selected.
