Totemism: Memphis Meets Africa at Design Indaba Expo

Li Edelkoort believes that totemism sums up her exhibition through its meaning of layering, stacking and spiritual ideas. The exhibition has a strong emotional connection to objects which are recreations of pieces nature has left behind. In the current age where culture is seen as scattered and the economy has exploded, Totemism: Memphis Meets Africa brings people together and is symbolic of creating a place where everybody feels at home.
