DStv, one of the official sponsors to Design Indaba, implemented a number of fun and interesting activations this year.
Working with Ogilvy Johannesburg, DStv created an A to Z alphabet of entertainment. The picture letters were transformed into banners, which hung in the passageways around the Conference venue. Installations were also set up to further the motif of the entertainment alphabet.
The DStv events area at Design Indaba Expo included a number of activities for children, as well as musical performances for all Expo visitors. The Stop-Motion Animation workshop gave children the opportunity to create their own film, while the fashion shows, Pecha Kucha presentations and live music performances provided visitors with an all-round insight into the power creativity and innovation.

This year DStv also partnered with the FilmFest for the first time, which ran for two weeks, and set up a miniplex at the Expo, offering visitors an area where they could enjoy short design documentaries and inspiring short films.
